Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian was an overall pleasurable experience. The movies humor seemed to span across a wide age group. This is defiantly a movie that the whole family could sit down and enjoy; however it is not without fault.
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian was an overall pleasurable experience. The movies humor eemed to span across a wide age group. This is defiantly a movie that the whole family could sit down nd enjoy; however it is not without fault. The humor at times can become rather stale. Battle of the Smithsonian recycles many gags from the first movie almost in their entirety. This might be a homage to the first film but it comes across as unoriginal and a cheap laugh. The action and pacing of the movie is well done and is matched with excellent cinematography and sound. asting was exceptional; each actor really suited the character they were playing. Overall if you enjoyed the first one, you will most likely enjoy the sequel. We would recommend you put this on your watch list for family night. The DVD, which comes on a special feature 2 disc set, has a good selection f features and keep consistent with the theme of the movie. The behind the scenes detail in some of the special features is outstanding yet seems somewhat forced ontent in some scenes. The second disc seems somewhat excessive and doesn’t seem to add really any dditional value to the 2 disc set but is a nice bonus for hard-core fans. ight at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian is set to launch on DVD on December 1st. A good buy overall. |
